Our links with professional practice provide a real-world base for our courses with London, the world’s third biggest art market, on our doorstep.

Finance Business Partner
Candidates with a non RICS-accredited degree will typically need to have five years’ industry experience before being eligible. The relatively small campus has a friendly, creative feel and benefits from recently refurbished workshops and studios, a reception bluefoundationsite.com area with a gallery, art shop and space, and the light and airy open-plan learning resources centre. This Art Business course is delivered by Kingston School of Art, which has its roots in the studio-based approach of Britain’s art school system .
College of Arts and Law
The Art Business course provides a combination of theoretical and practical study. Centred around your aspirations, there are opportunities to identify relevant roles for yourself within an evolving landscape, and to consider creative enterprise in its broadest form. The personal statement gives you a crucial opportunity to say why you’re applying and why the institution should accept you.
Steve Bulcock works across a range of digital media including animation, motion graphics and digital drawing systems. His research interests are concerned with challenging the notions and expectations people have in relation to their interactions with digital technology. As a BCU student, you will also have access to the Curzon library, with extensive opening times to facilitate flexible studying around your life. The building has a range of facilities available including studios, workshops, specialist art and design library, bookable spaces and lecture/seminar rooms. You should also mention your future plans – if you’re planning to take a year out, don’t forget to give your reasons. Talk about any subjects you’re studying that don’t have a formal assessment and any sponsorships or placements you’ve applied for.
The A level equips students with a range of important transferable skills, for example in presenting arguments, making judgements, conducting research, and manipulating data – all relevant to future life and decisions. This module introduces you to the history of the art market, an interdisciplinary academic discipline of great dynamism. It draws attention to the developments of the key agents in the art market within their historical perspective, such as notion of patronage, distribution channels for works of art and the auction and dealer systems.
